- The most loving and supportive husband- I am still in awe that despite my frequent negative attitude , inability to carry my share of the load, and inattention to his needs, my amazing husband stands by my side and offers endless support and compassion. How did I get so lucky?
- Even though I have had a recent spike in symptoms, I am thankful that it has been months since I have experienced any heart palpitations. During the first few months of illness, I would lie awake at night feeling like my heart was skipping beats, racing, or beating strongly. It was a scary symptom and I am so thankful that I haven't had any recent issues.
Symptoms I experienced yesterday:
- Shortness of breath (this has been ongoing, but seems to have gotten worse the past few weeks)
- Headache (again... but thankfully some advil helped this time around)
- Dizziness (still there, but seems to be improving)
- Numbness in my hands (just started up again)
- Twitching (mostly around the eye and mouth)
- Blurred vision (also seems to be improving)
- Painful knees, and behind left shoulder (ongoing)
- Waking gasping for air (haven't had this since the onset of the illness... must have some inflammation in my chest?)
I told myself I would sit down and write about my lyme history today so I could hopefully pinpoint some triggers or patterns in the future, but I just am not in the right frame of mind to do it today. I have decided, though, that I will start off each entry by focusing on what I am thankful for each day. Some days are so difficult to maintain a positive attitude, but I do honestly have so much that I cherish in my life.
